Game Type:
I aim to make a 2D side scrolling game with hack and slash elements thrown in.
So what about the gameplay?
The playable character Shay will use a blade swipe attack so the combat will be upclose and personal!
The Enemies will have varying amounts of health but currently i imagine having to hit them 3-5 times to defeat them.
I'm also excited to try and implement (if time allows) a "held" feature where some enemies will have the ability to perform special grappling moves and the player will need to rapidly push a button to break the grapple (losing health points for each second the grapple is active)
This would keep combat exciting, having to get close to attack with the blade, but back away to avoid the hold.
What will the level i am making be about?
The level i plan to make for this project will be a forest based level where Shay must battle through Steam Powered foes in order to reach the end, scores could be determined by the number of enemies defeated, time taken and the amount of health points lost!
