Flower Power!

I've finished of a traditionally drawn piece of concept work for Shay,
sporting a pretty cool "Leafblade" (notice the acorn growing on the branch/hilt)

I was really happy with how the petal colours came out,
and overall happy with the tribal/natural theme going on!

the grass is greener!

here's an update, i've finished off a flat tiling grass segment,
i've also tested it within a very rough game engine to check it tiled correcly

one, two, Tree!

today i've started to sketch up some of the floral for the background, there are 3 total tree varients (each will also be flipped horizontally when finished for a total of 6 diffrent trees to scatter throughout the level)
Later i will also create some destroyed and uprooted trees,
as the player gets further through the level they will notice more and more uprooted trees.

Whos the Boss!

Here's a quick sketch of the final boss of the level.
"Behemoth" I plan him to be a stationary boss.
if everything goes to plan his mouth will slowly open and close (revealing a weak spot at the back which the player must attack, by getting inside and attacking and getting out before the mouth closes!

The front-right leg will periodically raise up and stomp down, and then remain still for afew moments
(this is when the player can use the foot as a platform to reach the mouth.)






Yes he's gonna be BIG!
